Greek Organic Thyme Honey

From the family beehives in the Cycladic Islands and the ruggedly beautiful region of Mani, our bees craft a rare and rich thyme honey. The sea breeze and altitude create the perfect conditions for producing this unique honey, known for its high percentages of thyme nectar. It’s a labor of love that results in a honey with a distinct, robust flavor.

A Honey That Stands Apart

I’ve tried a lot of different honeys, but this one is something special. The first thing you notice is the aroma—rich, herbal, and slightly earthy, like a warm breeze carrying the scent of wildflowers. The taste? Deep, complex, and just the right balance of sweetness with a hint of thyme’s natural intensity.

What really sets this honey apart is its sublte boldness. It’s not just a generic sugary honey—it has real character. I’ve been drizzling it over yogurt, stirring it into tea or chamomile, and even just enjoying a spoonful on its own (which I exclusively do with Iyia honey). Every time, I’m reminded that this isn’t mass-produced—it’s crafted, with care, from a place where nature still does most of the work.

If you like honey with depth and a bit of personality, this one is worth trying. It’s smooth, flavorful, and somehow transports you to the rugged landscapes it comes from—whether you’ve been there or not.

I first discovered Iyia products when our company sent out Iyia holiday gift baskets, and ever since, I haven’t stopped raving about them. I figured I’d start with a review of their honey since I just reordered more—it’s that good! Moreover, with the growing trend of supporting Canadian businesses, I’m more than happy to continue backing this local gem.
